Mix well.

You carry all the ingredients

Next, you'll need to catch a rainbow, then bake.

A Tribute To Our Fathers

Let's start with papa's side of the tree.  This is Christopher's father's father, Curtis.
He had many children.

This is a photograph of his 3 older sons addressed
"to their grand-daddy Arthur Steward", Detroit 1948?
The boy in the center is baby Terry.

Terry grew up and became an amazing actor,
a world famous zombie slayer,
and also a father to his son, baby Christopher.
NYC, 1974

Baby Christopher grew into a darling little boy.
California, 1977

The little boy grew and became a kid.
NYC, 1978

The kid grew up and became a dashing young man, with kung-fu skills.
NYC, 1990?

The young man matured into a handsome detective,
became a screen playwright (soon to be world famous),
and then a father to twin daughters.
Cold Spring Village, 2005

The twinkies have a bonus paternal grandfather, Grand Den.

Now, mama's side of the tree.
Here's me at 3 days old in 'my first picture with daddy' Arturo Baquilar.

This is a newborn me and my sister Ate Didi with our father's parents,
Lolo Sabas + Lola Paula
Makati Medical Hospital, 1969

Here's a pic of my dad and 2 (of 3) baby daughters.
Mom + Dad had another baby daughter - Xenia Fay - seven years later.
Our father never got to meet any of his grandchildren.  May he Rest In Peace.

This is little me clinging to my Lolo - my mom's father, Baldomero Gueron.
 Philippines, 1972

Here's a pic of my Lolo who raised me in the Philippines.

Celebrating each of our fathers,
grandfathers, great-grandfathers, and all our fathers before them.
Happy Father's Day... Week!

Happy Father's Day

Here's Kacia + Anakai's Top 6 Reasons why we love papa:

Reason #6. Papa will hold our hand until we're not scared anymore.

Reason #5.  Papa will slide with us.

Reason #4.  Papa can row us in a rowboat and serenade us too.

Reasone #3.  Papa cuddles us and lets us bother him all we want.

Reason #2.  Papa hugs us tight while we wait for the doctor.

The #1 reason why we love papa is....
Because he's OUR papa!

River Spirit

Happiness held is a seed.

Happiness shared is a flower.

Thank You River Spirit.
Such a blessed beautiful life this is.

Except it didn't end there.  Have a look at this picture below.
Note their awesome throwing positions.
Unfortunately Anakai was placed between Kacia and the river...
and got clocked in the back of her head
by a big rock that flung from Kacia's hand,
sending Anakai forward,
into the Hudson
on her hands and knees.
And got splashed in the face.
:(
But mama's ever loving arms was there to make it all better.
:)

The End
P.S.  Thank you for their new favorite beautiful dresses Annette + Terry

Walkway

We took a short walk over a long bridge.
Can you guess why our walk was short?
Anakai picked the middle of the bridge to mention she needed the potty.
[Here's a link to find out what the length of this bridge is.  walkway.org]
I thought this shadow pic was just so cute!

Facing down river on a clear day.
I can see for miles and miles and miles...

Ashley Crashley

My niece fell off the monkey bars at school and broke her arm a few weeks ago.  I signed her plastic green cast + took this pic.  It's so hi-tech compared to the thick plaster ones.  She said it doesn't hurt anymore, but Didi told me she cried for 2 days straight.

Feel better soon Ashley!

Little Stony Point

It's a beautiful day by the Hudson River.  The sun is shining, the skies are blue.
So go put your favorite fairy princess outfit on and explore with us!

What a sweet welcome.  Follow the flutter-by...

Such a special little spot.

Mapping things out.

Hanging out by the river.

Playing with nature's many magical gifts...

... and what a magical gift it is to have a twin sister.
Seems like these fairies are out of pixie dust.
