That's Papa

"Is that your daddy?" asked the teacher's aid.
"No that's not daddy." Kacia replied,
"That's Papa!"
It's 'Red Ribbon' theme week at school.

Theme for today: dress up as your hero.  (*No superheros allowed.)
Guess who is their hero?

Yes Sir!

Hop On Poppa.

The Rainbow Fish

The twinkies went to see "The Rainbow Fish" at the Kravis Center with their kindergarten class today.  It was their very first school field trip ever.  Sadly, I did not chaperone.  I thought about it though.  Then I decided this one was for them.  (and there'll be other field trips in the future :)  But rest assured, they are with capable people who help keep them safe.  Safe enough to tell me all about their adventure.

"Mama!!  We went to a media centow mommy.  We went on the schooobus!"
They've never been in a schoolbus before.

"and we buckled our seat belts."
Awww, bless their sweet angel hearts!

"Then we saw 'The Wainbow Fish'!"
and on and on they went on the walk home from school.

They made these when we got home.

Twin Cays

Looks like the heavens blessed us with a/nother spectacular Saturday sunrise.
[Prepare for picture overload!]

Not only does this touch my heart,

but it also warms my soul.

We claimed this sandbar "Twin Cay"

It was "Sand Sifters Saturday" today (behind kissy Kacia) where a local
high school gathered early in the a.m.  to clean up the beach.

Anakai Ocean loves her shrinking sandbar island.

There they are!
;)

This osprey caught something.  (Click the pic to see)

I wonder why this sailboat was getting so much attention.

It's hard to believe this day could get even more perfect, but it did.

The ocean temperature was a perfect 80f degrees.  With that long sandbar protecting a shallow strip of sea about a foot deep, the conditions were perfect for little children to watch fish swimming in their natural habitat.

(*Note to Santa again: twin kiddie snorkel gear maybe?)

Barefoot Breakfast

Barefoot beach breakfast at Ocean Ridge.

Gotta love picture perfect mornings.

These are some cool things Kacia found at the beach.
Seaweed for silly hair, a baby coconut, and a nice conch to listen to the secrets of the sea.

Anakai found a happy face smile in the sky.

Life Is Good x2

It seems these little twinkies went from turtle hatchlings
19 months
to scrumptious little big girls bursting with joy
all in a blink of a mama's smiling eyes.
