School Spirit

Gotta love a school with palm trees.  None of those up north!

Gotta love that the mascot is a unicorn.  And the kindy mascot is a baby unicorn,  aww!

Back in the Philippines, I graduated from "Little Angel School" with honors!

(Most people don't know that I'm a certified bona fide angel.  Shhhh!)

If you said, "Their really cute."  Well, then your wrong - because that's nothing different.  They're always cute.  (Biased mama much? :)

Here's a third clue, if you haven't guessed yet.

The correct answer is:  these 2 little girls have no swim-vests on, and traded them in for pink and rainbow swim-goggles.  They are all grins because they found a new freedom!  They've been practicing all the steps necessary to learn how to swim... like taking a deep breath, and blowing bubbles underwater, stay where its safe, and listen to mama.  They know they are not allowed to swim without swim-vests, unless they ask me, then I allow one twin off-jacket at a time.  Except for today because papa was present in the pool (which checks my twin water safety rule #1: MUST have 1-on-1 parent to kid while in the water) and K+A's confidence level was awesome, I thought it all safe.  How happy is THIS MAMA that I had my ever-ready mama-cam out.  I'm so glad I did NOT miss this amazing moment!  I'm soooo proud of you, Kacia + Anakai!!

Where's Ash-wee?

The twinkies keep wondering about their cousin Ashley, especially at the pool.  "She went for an airplane ride - all the way back home."  I explain in my mama sweetest voice.

"Home in New Ork?"  Yes, back home in New Ork.  "Weewee?"  Really.

Something must be really interesting over there.

The Very First Day Of School

Ready for kindergarten?

School clothes, shoes, backpacks, lunch bags... check!

Ready to walk to Whispering Pines for the first time.  They've been practicing so many school related things, like their new teacher's name, "Good morning Mrs. Service."  She's been teaching kindergarten since 1986 - wow!

Guess that's what happens when ya got a detective/investigator for a papa.  I feel sorry for the classmate who causes any upset to his precious twins.

Time for all the parents to leave the classroom.

That's when I hear other parents ask who's crying?  Oh the two twins are...

Which is approximately when I started crying too.  

I feel like I'm a mama bird perched at the edge of my nest with my chicks.
Do they have everything they need?  What if they'll want their classmates food?  I'm sure they won't have any 'accidents' but there's an extra outfit packed, just in case.  I hope they'll listen to the new teacher, and will enjoy being in her classroom.  I hope they can last all day without getting frustrated, or tired, or hungry.  This is the first time they will be away from people they love and who love them.  Wait a minute... they do have someone right there with them who loves them -- their twin sister!  Now that's cool.

Ashley Time

Here's some of the things we did with cousin Ashley.

We decorated cupcakes.

We went for a walk at Wakodahatchee Wetlands.

We went swimming at the clubhouse pool.

 We found a tiny turtle on the driveway taking refuge behind the shade of my front tire.
After rescuing him (her?) Smash made a tiny tupperware wetland for it then named it "Dribble"

My my, Ashley... what big. beautiful. brown eyes you have!

She kept him for only one day before she released him back to nature.

We played with wooden train tracks.

Most of all, we had lots of fun together, and took tons of ridiculous pictures. 

Summer Daze

 Another super hot day in Villa San Remo, and these three ducklings got the big pool - all to themselves.

How is the weather in Florida Anakai?

As much as I enjoyed her weather prediction, what I really enjoyed is her ensemble... She loves her black tutu from grandpapa, and just unearthed my mom's monogrammed straw hat.  As it turned out, she was right too.  The National Weather guys issued a tornado warning for the next 45 min.
