Groundhog Day in FL

It's not often one finds themselves in the right place at the right time.  But today we happen in THE warmest place in the entire country.  Warmer than Hawaii and southern California!!  And 2/3 out of the USA is in serious icy snowstorm blizzard mode. Not us!  It was 71f degrees at dawn in the Sunshine State.  Needless to say (but I'll gloat anyway :o) Punxatawney Phil needed sunscreen and shades.

Off to school!

Puppet Festival

We went to the Puppet Festival at Sugarsand Park again this year, and it was awesome!  

This time our friends Emilio and Laylani joined us.  

Here's some of the cool things we did...

We played with these huge pinwheel flowers.

We stopped at the arts + crafts tent and made some puppets.

We went for a ride on the colorful train.

We entered a hula hoop contest.

We waited -patiently- in line with a ticket to ride.

Weeeee!

That was cool.  Hopefully we can make this an annual event.

100 Days Smarter

Today marks the twinkies 100th day of Kindergarten.  At school, they are celebrating this momentous day by counting out one hundred things.  Here they are with their homework assignment two hundred heart stickers later....
