One morning, I decided to sleep in. 

When I finally woke up, this is what I found on my pillow.

Here's an enthusiastic Anakai, slightly unsure about what's going on, 

but Coach Steve seems to know just how to coach her!

 We got orange soccer socks!

 We are the orange team.

Kacia's #2 and Anakai's #3.

Mom took these pictures while I was away, thanks mom :)!  Then she recaptured for me, the essence of their very first soccer game.  Here's her story... Coach Steve said neither one of the twins made any technical mistakes. Anakai was absolutely thrilled when she was able to dribble the soccer ball, past so many people, then kick it straight into the goal post, score!  She pumped her arms in the air and even hooted in celebration :)

That's when Coach Steve told Anakai, she just scored a point for the opponent.  "Not this goal post, the o t h e r goal post!" :(

Mom explains there are no goalies at this stage. This game was the first time they actually used the goal posts.  At practice, they stuck to doing ball control drills.  So Anakai did kick a goal.  Not only once... but two more times.  A total of three points, in the wrong goal post.

The next game can only get better!
