Twice upon a time...

Christmas 2007

Maligayang Pasko! That's Merry Christmas in tagalog. Kacia and Anakai are 2 and a half years old now and they're really starting to become verbal, most certainly vocal. They do 'speak' to each other, lengthy conversations complete with big decisions made, or not - ensuing serious arguements and well, unfortunately sometimes hitting. Though not hard, more just enough to make a solid point; still evokes much sadness - especially from Anakai who has mastered the art of feigning woe-is-me sadness - sobbing into her hands and crying, 'hooo hooo hooooo...' Kacia will just throw herself down and cry into the floor. Lovely. Rocco and Xenia managed to catch it, see pics below!

On a lighter note, lately Anakai's favorite phrase is (gasp) "OH noo!" (gasp) "Oh NOOO!" a few times in a row, each slightly more dramatic, followed finally by "..what are we going to do???"

While Kacia blurts, "Oh shh**!" (I wonder where they got that from?!:)

I think Kacia told her first joke: we were all at breakfast. I took a banana and peeled it, breaking it half and distributing accordingly, as usual. When I handed Kacia hers, she took it and said,

"Appa! Appa! Appa!"

Quizzically I looked at her shaking my head and said,

"Thats NOT an apple."

Filled with mischievous glee she said firmly,

"Na-naahh!!"

(That's right Kacia-roo... what does silly mama know?)

They love holding hands and playing Ring Around The Rosy and London Bridge, they love the 'fall down' bit, in both songs. Upon waking they'll sing rounds Itsy Bitsy Spider, Baby Beluga, and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star to themselves. And now they play Piggies (The five at the end of each foot, thats 20 fat little piggies in this house!) with each other tickling themselves into an uncontrollable frenzy of giggles. They love books! Anakai loves to jump. She'll take you by the hand and lead you to the middle of the floor so you can both jump jump jump together. Anakai loves to tumble too. Kacia loves puzzles. Lots of puzzles, at one time. She also loves building things with her legos, one structure using as many pieces as possible. They eat snow. Too many cute things to write!! What lovely little people!

A happy, healthy, and prosperous 2008 to you all!!
